DARIAH ERIC is pleased to introduce its fourth call for projects dedicated to - and open only to - the DARIAH Working Groups.

The call acknowledges the strategic role of Working Groups in DARIAH, which represent - according to the Strategic Plan 2019-2026 - one of the four pillars of the DARIAH activities.

Funding allocated under this scheme is intended to support the activities of established DARIAH Working Groups (WGs) that are currently active. It intends to offer practical support for their programmes, encouraging WGs to put forward innovative ideas; to seek synergy by collaborating with each other and, in general, to build up capacity to suggest new services, tools or training activities or to help develop and sustain existing ones. WGs can submit a singular proposal or join with another WG for a joint proposal, but are limited to being the lead applicant in one application per round (more details in the Call for Proposals).

Timeline and important dates

• Information session : Thursday, September 14th, 2023 - 15-17 CEST (details to follow on Basecamp)

• Submission deadline: Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 (UPDATED)

• Results of the review and communication to WGs will be announced no later than Wednesday, December 6th, 2023 (UPDATED)

• Signature of WG Grant Agreements between DARIAH ERIC and the budget holding institution

• Transfer of the grant after signature of the Grant Agreement

• Successful applicants may begin to spend their award after signature of the Grant Agreement

• Project activities should be carried out not later than March 31st, 2025

• Presentation of the project results during the DARIAH Annual Event 2025

• The final activity and financial reports must be submitted to the CIO team two months after the presentation of the granted project at the DARIAH Annual Event 2025.

Note: Both the submission deadline and results communication are submit to the possibility of extension - this would be communicated via this submission portal as well as via the DARIAH WG leaders Basecamp.
